Dr. Antonina (Tina) McKay, D.C.

 

Dr. Antonina (Tina) McKay is a native of Fayette  County and graduated from Fayette  County  High School. She went on to attend the State University of West Georgia before deciding to pursue a career in the nursing field at Georgia  Perimeter  College.

While attending Georgia  Perimeter  College, Dr. McKay was involved in an automobile accident resulting in long-term pain and problems. After a great deal of encouragement, Dr. McKay finally decided to go to a Chiropractor. Once the nerve interference that was the source of her pain was removed, the problems that had plagued her for years started to slowly disappear. A firm believer in the power of Chiropractic care, Dr. McKay decided to undertake the challenge of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine.

In June of 1999, Dr. McKay graduated from Life  University. She elected to start her practice in the high-growth Coweta  County area close to her many patients and friends.  In February of 2002 she married her long time sweetheart Mark Dunckel.  They have two beautiful children, Blake 4 and Shelby 2.

  Brittany Rector -Massage Therapist

Brittany Rector was born and raised in Fayetteville, Georgia and has continued to spent most of her life in the area.  She graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 2001, SAE in Nashville in 2004 with a degree in Audio Engineering, and High Tech Institute in Atlanta in 2008 for Therapeutic Massage.  She married her Husband in 2007 and the couple just celebrated the birth of their first son, Luke, in November, 2009. She has been working on her own for two years focusing mostly on patients with pain and dysfunction and is very excited about coupling massage with chiropractic work.  

 

 

Candy Shoemaker - Chiropractic Assistant

Candy Shoemaker has been a resident of the Newnan/Coweta County area for the past 23 years.  She and her husband Tom have been married for 22 years and have four children ranging in age from 15 to 21.  She is a very active volunteer in our community.  In 1998 she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis.  After battling this disease and all the side effects from the medications she decided to quit taking all the medications and turn to a more natural approach for treatment.  Candy changed her diet to all organic, began taking supplements and getting adjusted, within 6 months her rheumatoid was in remission and she began to rebuild her active lifestyle.  She has kept her Rheumatoid under control for more than 10 years.  In the year 2000 she decided to get back into the work force full time.  She worked for almost two years with Exel in Fairburn until she decided to leave her position as an Administrative Assistant and pursue a career in the chiropractic field.  Candy’s first experience with chiropractic care was about 20+ years ago when she was experiencing headaches and radiating pain down her leg.  She was hired with Healthy Life Chiropractic in August of 2003 and knew right away that this was her calling.  In June of 2006 she graduated Valedictorian from an 18 month CA Certification course.   Since this time her passion for chiropractic continues to grow stronger each day.  She thrives to educate herself and others about chiropractic on a regular basis.
