Pediatric Massage

Infants and children experience pain and stress, just as adults do.  This stress may manifest their bodies in different ways, but they can also benefit from the soothing touch of massage. Therapy can also provide comfort, relaxation, reduction of stress hormones.  It can also decrease anxiety and stress in children that suffer from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.  Children with autism can decrease their aversion to touch with massage, while increasing their ability to focus.  Pediatric patients with cystic fibrosis report feeling less anxious, while their ability to breathe & pulmonary function improved.
