Prenatal Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care is very important during pregnancy. There are many benefits of Chiropractic care during pregnancy such as maintaining a healthier pregnancy, controlling symptoms of nausea, reducing the time of labor and delivery, relieving back, neck, and joint pain, and prevention of a potential cesarean section.
There is a special technique designed for prenatal patients with breached babies, called the Webster Technique. The basic purpose of this technique is to realign the sacrum, a bone at the base of the spine, and to relax the round ligament that connects the uterus to the sacrum. This provides the proper position of the pelvic bones and provide greater space for the baby. This can allow for breached babies to turn vertex (head down). It also ensures that the hips are in proper alignment which facilitates the birthing process. All chiropractic techniques can be adapted for our pregnant patients.
