What is Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy*?

Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT) involves breathing concentrated oxygen in a pressurized chamber to increase oxygen levels in the blood, promoting healing and fighting infections, particularly in conditions like carbon monoxide poisoning and non-healing wounds.

By pressurizing oxygen and adding an oxygen concentrator to the Mild Hyperbaric Chamber, we are able to raise oxygen levels in your blood and tissues. This can reduce illness or injury. The increased pressure in the chamber forces more oxygen into the blood plasma, which then carries the oxygen to the tissues and organs, even those with poor circulation. The increased oxygen supply can stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, promoting tissue regeneration and reducing inflammation.

mHBOT can also help the body’s immune system fight infections by increasing the effectiveness of white blood cells and enhancing the body’s ability to kill certain bacteria.

mHBOT is used to manage chronic conditions, providing relief and improving quality of life.

For acute injuries, mHBOT accelerates the healing process and improves recovery outcomes.

Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT) can help to:

There are over 120 conditions for which Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT) has been shown to be effective and beneficial according to numerous published medical studies:

What to Expect While in the Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber

You will be lying down inside the chamber, relaxing comfortably in your own clothing, as you breathe concentrated oxygen through a face mask or without a mask. While inside the chamber you can rest, read, and use your Smartphone or tablet — free WiFi is available — or take a nap. As the chamber is gradually pressurized you maintain contact with our trained staff person, remaining in control at all times. Some people experience temporary ear discomfort while pressurizing or depressurizing the chamber, but it typically resolves after the first few sessions.

When your session ends and the chamber is gradually depressurized, you will emerge feeling more oxygenated. Some people report feeling more relaxed after a session. Others describe feeling a sense of mental clarity, as mHBOT is good for brain fog and is particularly helpful in addressing brain fog related to Lyme, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, radiation treatment, and chemotherapy.

What is the difference between traditional Hyberbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT)?

The main difference between HBOT and mHBOT is pressure and oxygen concentration. Traditional HBOT uses high pressures, typically over 1.5 ATA and 100% pure oxygen. These units are hard-sided and are used for specific medical conditions like chronic bone infections, non-healing diabetic wounds, and carbon monoxide poisoning. Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT) uses lower pressures (around 1.3 ATA) and a lower concentration of oxygen (80% -85%) in a soft-shelled chamber for general wellness and chronic conditions, athletic performance, and treating a range of wellness-related conditions.
