Cupping Massage

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which cups are placed on the skin to create suction. Once the suction has occurred, the cups can be gently moved across the skin. The suction in the cups causes the skin and top muscle layer to be lightly drawn into the cup. Cupping is much like the inverse of massage- rather than applying pressure to muscles, it used gentle pressure to pull them upward. Suction reaches deep into soft tissue, attachments, and organs. Toxins, inflammation, blood, and lymph are then pulled to the skins surface. Health and healing are promoted by loosening soft and connective tissue, therefore visible improvements are seen in scars and adhesion's. This technique is used safely in children, adults, and the elderly. Cupping aids in lymph drainage, loosening and releasing adhesion's, move stagnation, reduce inflammation, stimulate blood flow, and calm the nervous system.
